S24 Bare Board Test

The S24 Bare Board Tester (BBT) is a flying probe system designed to test any type of printed circuit board, from simple single side circuits, to complex multi-layers, inner-layers and ceramics, and the integrated, SMEMA-compatible automatic loader can be easily connected to external handlers for fully automated operation. The system is able to test very large boards and panels thanks to an extensive test area (610 mm x 610 mm or 24" x 24") and the integrated repair software enables quick location of any defect found on the tested circuits.

Features include:

	latest-generation roller bearings and powerful brushless motors coupled with pre-loaded, high precision ball screws to move the four measurement probes (two on each side of the board under test) during tests.
	complete vision system which includes two CCD cameras, one for each side of the PCB.
	belt-type conveyor system with standard Smema interface, allowing easy connection to external board handlers. Flexible management software enables the user to easily set up the system to work in a completely automated mode, loading and testing even different part numbers automatically.
	universal test probe able to successfully probe every type and form of test point, ranging from the typical SMD pad, round and elliptical "donuts", down to the smallest pads manufactured using today's technology.
	repair station is a software tool that helps the operator to identify the position of the failing net on the board on the basis of the test results, after executing the test program by displaying, for example, the most probable points for a fault to occur on the net. It is fully integrated in the management software and can be used as a stand alone station or in network configuration.
	system software operating under the Windows NT/2000/XP environment which is very simple to use, thanks to the "Test Wizard", which guides the operator through the steps needed to create a new test program in a matter of minutes, starting from the PCB data in the IPC-D-356A.
